Last Thursday, TECO and the Culture Center of Taiwan in Atlanta co-hosted a discussion on global economic trends post-COVID-19, with a specific focus on US-Taiwan. DG Wang gave an opening speech. The discussion included presentations by Martin Chen, the Director of TECO’s Economic Division, Professor John Hsieh from the University of South Carolina’s Department of Politics, and Dr. Kiosy Lin from the CDC’s microbiology unit. Mr. Chen spoke about US-Taiwan politics and economics, Professor Hsieh talked about US-Taiwan-China trilateral relations, and Dr. Lin discussed the COVID-19 vaccines in the works. He expects there to be six vaccines being commercially produced and distributed by next April.
