US Undersecretary of Economic Growth Keith Krach Arrives in Taiwan

United States Undersecretary of Economic Growth, Energy, and Environment Keith Krach arrived in Taiwan today (9/17). Undersecretary Krach will meet President Tsai Ing-wen tomorrow night.
His delegation is comprised of many other senior officials, including
- Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor, Robert Destro
- Assistant Secretary for Global Markets and Director General of the United States and Foreign Commercial Service, Ian Steff
- Ambassador-at-Large for Global Women’s Issues and U.S. Representative at the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women, Kelly Currie
- and, former Assistant Secretary of Defense for Indo-Pacific Security Affairs, Randall Schriver.
It was previously announced that Undersecretary Krach would lead a new series of high-level bilateral economic discussions with Taiwan, following Secretary of Health Azar’s visit as well as Taiwan’s easing of US meat import restrictions.
This trip and the beginning of the new economic dialogue exemplifies the meaningful advancements being made in US-Taiwan relations lately.
