TECO in Atlanta, the de facto Consulate-General for Taiwan in the Southeast US, is recruiting a Media Liaison. This is a full-time role that requires native and excellent English, strong writing abilities, and some technical skills.
Major duties include:
- Write speeches, press releases, op-eds, official correspondence with counterparts and business leaders, and other related writing tasks
- Contact press and others when necessary
- Manage English social media posts, including fun new initiatives like filming videos
- General administrative tasks and other assigned office projects
- Conducting research on issues relevant to colleagues
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree completed (preferred major related to English, Political Science, International Affairs, etc)
- Knowledge of Taiwan and US relations and international affairs
- Ability to write speeches, press releases, letters to counterparts, op-eds, research papers, etc in native-level English
- Proficiency in social media tools (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc)
- Ability to use simple video-editing software such as iMovie
- Ability to conduct individual research
- Computer program fluency (Microsoft Office Suites)
- Be able to work flexible hours if necessary
