Foreign nationals, who hold ordinary passports or other travel documents, intend to stay in the R.O.C. ( Taiwan ) for less than six (6) months for the purpose of transit, sightseeing, visiting relatives, paying a visit, attending a training course, receiving medical treatment, or engaging in business or other activities.
If your application is sent by mail, a self-addressed envelope with return postage by Priority mail or Express mail is required (stamps only, no meter postage). If you use FedEx, UPS, the return label must include applicant's mailing address as both sender and recipient (do not put TECO in Atlanta address on return label.)
Visa Validity
For foreign nationals from the countries with which the ROC has entered into reciprocal visa agreements, the validity of their Visitor Visas shall be decided in accordance with these agreements.
For other foreign nationals, a Visitor Visa is generally valid from three months up to one year.
Application Fee
USA passport holder: US$185.
For other foreign nationals, the visa fees are: single entry: US$ 50; multiple entries: US$ 100.
For foreign nationals from the countries with which the ROC has entered into reciprocal visa agreements, the visa is issued gratis.

If your application is sent by mail, all fees must be paid by money order or cashier check (Payable to TECO in Atlanta). No personal checks will be accepted.
Remarks
TECO reserves the right to withhold disclosure of the reasons for disapproval of your visa application.
TECO assumes no responsibility for delayed, lost, or stolen items sent by mail at the applicant's request.

Starting from April 9, 2012, ROC visa applicants need to first access the website: https://visawebapp.boca.gov.tw, fill out the visa application forms online and then print them out. The completed forms with bar codes and other required documents ought to be submitted to the ROC’s overseas missions which the applicants have selected while filling out their application forms. The offline application forms will no longer be accepted.
