Director-General Douglas Y. T. Hsu and the ROC Veterans Association of Boston Invited to Attend American Veterans Day Parade

Director-General and Mrs. Douglas Y.T. Hsu of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Boston (TECO-Boston), and staff members, along with more than 30 members of the ROC Veterans Association of Boston, were invited to participate in the American Veterans Day annual parade. The ROC Veterans Association of Boston was the only foreign organization invited to march in the parade. More than 10 organizations, including active, retired servicemen and women, and the Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC), attended. The parade was led by an American military band which was cheered on by bystanders along the Boston Common. The ROC Veterans Association of Boston was announced by its formal title-“Republic of China” by the master of ceremonies when its members passed by the ceremonial stand during the parade. The parade marched to Boston City Hall Plaza.
