Director-General Hung Attends the Inauguration Ceremony of President of Huang Family Association of Boston

Director-General Hung attended the inauguration ceremony of Mr. Michael Huang, incumbent and newly appointed president of the Huang Family Association of Boston on January 3. Those with the surname ‘Huang’ and more than one hundred representatives of other families participated. The installation of the newly appointed president formally got underway following a traditional ceremony dotting the eyes of the lion and performing the Lion Dance.
In Director-General Hung’s remarks, she noted that the Huang Family Association of Boston is an important organization of the Overseas Compatriot Community in Boston which tirelessly serves members of the Association and Chinatown community who share a common ancestral lineage. She also pointed out that the Association has benefited many Overseas Compatriots and enjoys a long-term friendship with the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Boston. Director-General Hung took the opportunity to express appreciation to the Association on behalf of the ROC Government for its support over the years.
