Documentary “Invisible Nation” Premieres in New England

A documentary titled “Invisible Nation” directed by Ms. Vanessa Hope, an American director and filmmaker, was screened on October 13 at the 21st New Hampshire Film Festival that took place from October 12-15 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The documentary which took seven years to complete depicts the development of Taiwan’s democracy and its status in the international arena. In the documentary, we can view how President Tsai Ing-wen leads the Taiwanese on a path to the international stage and enhances Taiwan’s visibility globally.
Deputy Director-General Wellington Shih of TECO-Boston attended the premiere and panel discussion. He expressed his gratitude to Film Director Hope in person for her efforts that enable Taiwan to become a visible nation and provide an opportunity for the world to better understand that Taiwan is a force for good and a reliable global partner.
