TECO Boston and the Boston Office of the U.S. Commercial Service Boston jointly hosted a welcome tea party on the morning of May 5 to welcome Taiwanese manufacturers participating in the 2025 SelectUSA Taiwan AI and Quantum Delegation organized by the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT/T) to visit Boston. TECO Director-General Charles Liao attended the event together with colleagues.
In his remarks, Director-General Liao thanked the U.S. Department of Commerce and AIT/T for their assistance in organizing the delegation and arranging the itinerary. He also said that at this critical moment in the restructuring of the global supply chain, the delegation is composed of representatives from Taiwan's technology industry, finance, and R&D fields, which is of special significance. It not only helps Taiwanese companies expand business opportunities and exchanges in the United States, but also adds new momentum to the close technological and economic partnership between Taiwan and the United States.
Director-General Liao accompanied the delegation to attend the AI development and economic and trade briefing held by the Mass. Office of International Trade and Investment (MOITI). Hr especially thanked the Governor’s Special Advisor and former Secretary of the Executive Office of Economic Development Yvonne Hao and MOITI Executive Director Jeevan Ramapriya for their support to TECO. He hopes to continue to jointly promote cooperation in advanced technology research and industries between Massachusetts and Taiwan. Go Team Taiwan + Team Massachusetts!
