Ministry of Foreign Affairs released short film to showcase Taiwan’s Experience to the World

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Republic of China (Taiwan) release a short film named “Change begins in the heartland” on November 3 to showcase Taiwan's contribution in the fields of sustainable development and innovative economy. The description of the film is as follows:
In 2009, Typhoon Morakot destroyed much of Taiwan’s agricultural heartland, including Linbian Township in southern Taiwan's Pingtung County. However, locals rebuilt, with a specific focus put on renewable energy such as solar power and smart-grid technology. Linbian’s redevelopment projects were great successes, and in 2015 their smart micro-grid demonstration park received a silver prize from APEC’s Energy Smart Communities Initiative Best Practices Awards Program. This positive response encouraged locals to share more of their experiences with the global community. It's just one of the ways Taiwan is doing its part to help take on climate change and build a better future for all.
