Director General Huang Joined Taiwan-Focused Panel Discussion at NCA side event
Director General Huang joined a Taiwan-focused panel discussion hosted by the University of Colorado’s Department of Communication during the National Communication Association (NCA) annual convention.
The panel featured CU Professors Stephen Hartnett and Patrick Dodge, scholars from the University of Macau, and Taiwanese scholars teaching in the U.S., discussing Taiwan and cross-strait dynamics through media, public diplomacy, culture, tourism, and information warfare.
Director General Huang highlighted Taiwan’s strategic importance, the growing threat of China’s disinformation and long-arm jurisdiction, and Beijing’s misuse of UN Resolution 2758 to block Taiwan’s international participation.
She also noted Taiwan’s efforts to strengthen self-defense and social resilience, as well as expanding partnerships through integrated diplomacy. Recent milestones include Vice President Hsiao Bi-khim’s speech at the European Parliament’s IPAC conference and former President Tsai Ing-wen’s remarks at the Berlin Freedom Conference—clear signs of rising international support for Taiwan.
Director General Huang encouraged attendees:
“Everyone can be a diplomat for Taiwan.”
With collective effort, Taiwan’s voice can reach even farther.
