The Chinese Taipei Men’s Basketball Team consisting of 23 persons, on a China Airlines charter flight, arrived in Guam on Aug. 23, 2021. Upon arrival, they received warm welcome from TECO Director General Paul Chen accompanied by other TECO staff, GVB Global Marketing director Nadine Leon Guerrero, GVB marketing manager for Taiwan Gabbie Franquez, Guam Basketball Confederation Secretary General Frank Cruz, GIAA team and immigration officers, China Airlines Guam Office staff and UCAG newly-elected President Albert Wu. TECO Director General Chen, in his remarks, sincerely welcomed the team to join the FIBA Asia Cup 2021 Qualifiers set to take place in Guam in the following days on behalf of Taiwan Government, and wished them great success in the competition.
