2026 MOFA Taiwan Fellowship Is Open For Online Application

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of China (Taiwan) is now accepting online applications for the 2026 MOFA Taiwan Fellowship from May 1 to June 30, 2025.
Interested scholars are invited to visit the official bilingual Taiwan Fellowship website at https://taiwanfellowship.ncl.edu.tw for detailed information and to complete the online application before the deadline.
In addition to the online application, the following documents, written in either Chinese or English, must be submitted in hard copy to the designated ROC (Taiwan) overseas mission by July 1, 2025 (based on the postmark date) for preliminary review: 1. Application form (generated from the online system) 2. Curriculum vitae (including a list of publications) 3. Research proposal (three pages maximum, written in academic standards) 4. Two letters of recommendation
The fellowship research period in Taiwan will run from January 1 to December 31, 2026. Research stays must be at least three months in length and should be continuous in principle.
The list of selected fellowship recipients is expected to be announced by early November 2025. Taiwan Fellowship
