Director General Yvonne Hsiao had the absolute pleasure of meeting with Founding Director/Chief Scientist of the Texas Center for Superconductivity-University of Houston, Prof. Paul Chu, on August 28th. DG and her delegation, comprised of colleagues, Dr. Hue-The Shih, and students from Taipei Medical University and National Sun Yat-sen University had an eye-opening experience learning about the near miraculous research of TcSUH.
Director Zhifeng Ren introduced the research team, directions, and current achievements of TcSUH. Prof. Audrius Brazdeikis, Principal Investigator of the Biomedical Imaging and Nanomedicine Lab showcased Biomedical Research at TcSUH. Prof. Paul Chu provided insights into superconductivity's principles, potential applications, and global development history before giving a heartfelt conclusion to the meeting.
Lunch was hosted by Dr. Claudia Neuhauser, Interim Vice Chancellor for Research of the University of Houston System/Vice President for Research of UH to welcome the TECO team and foster further discussions on possible collaborative research and student exchanges.
