Director General Chou recently visited Cape Coral, the famous coastal city in Southwest Florida, to meet with Mercedes Price Harry, Chief of Staff for Florida Congressman Byron Donalds (R-FL).
Director General Chou briefed Chief Harry on the concrete achievements of Taiwan-Florida economic & trade cooperation and expressed gratitude to Congressman Donalds for his previous proposal urging U.S. federal agencies to officially refer to us as "Taiwan" ?? instead of "Chinese Taipei."
In 2022, Cape Coral was severely impacted by Hurricane Ian. Florida Tzu Chi volunteers rushed to the disaster area, donating over $2 million USD in relief funds, which touched the hearts of the local community.
