On November 12, Director General Charles Chou and Director You met with Sandy Shaughnessy, Director of Cultural Affairs, and Rachelle Ashmore, Arts Consultant of the Florida Department of State, over a working luncheon in Tallahassee. They discussed plans to host exhibitions of Taiwanese artists and touring performances to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the sister-state relationship between Taiwan and Florida, as well as opportunities to further expand bilateral cultural exchanges.
Taiwan and Florida established their sister-state relationship on August 26, 1992, in Miami, and after more than 33 years, the friendship continues to thrive.
