On August 8, Director General Charles Chou and Secretary Tu joined Yen-Hui Lee, Deputy Minister of Taiwan’s Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC), for a roundtable with Taiwanese American community leaders in Miami.
The discussion focused on strengthening community organizations, Traditional Chinese language education, FASCA, the Youth 10 Billion Overseas Dream Fund Program, and deeper engagement with the broader American community.
Yen-Hui Lee thanked the Miami community for its longstanding support of Taiwan and highlighted the importance of education, youth engagement, and community partnerships in promoting Taiwan’s culture.
From community service to people-to-people diplomacy, Florida’s Taiwanese American community continues to be a vital bridge between Taiwan and the United States.
