On the morning of October 9, Director General Charles Chou, accompanied by Secretary Franco Tu, attended a flag-raising ceremony celebrating the 115th National Day of the Republic of China (Taiwan). The event was held at the Miami chapter venue of the Chinese-American Association, at the invitation of Wingfat Kwan, President of the On Leong Merchant Association Miami Chapter.
The celebration brought together community leaders and members of the Taiwanese and Chinese American communities to commemorate this special occasion and celebrate the Republic of China (Taiwan)’s birthday.
Director General Chou expressed his appreciation to the On Leong Merchant Association Miami Chapter for its active involvement in community service and support for local community organizations under President Wingfat Kwan’s leadership.
In particular, the association has twice provided strong support for this office’s appreciation luncheons at Miami International Airport, honoring TSA security personnel and other frontline airport workers. These initiatives have earned positive recognition from the greater Miami community while raising the visibility of both this office and the On Leong Merchant Association in Florida.
