When Taiwan comes together, the whole community shines

There was something special about Orlando that night—not just the excitement on the basketball court, but the sea of Taiwanese pride filling the stands.
More than 300 Taiwanese community members and students from across Florida came together to cheer, connect, and celebrate a shared sense of home. With Taiwan’s flag waving proudly at the Orlando Magic’s home court, we brought a little piece of Taiwan to the heart of Orlando. ??
A big thank-you to TCCGO (Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce of Greater Orlando) and TAAGO (Taiwanese American Association of Greater Orlando) for making this memorable gathering possible, and to Presidents Ya-Lan Chien and Hao-Run Chang and everyone who helped bring the community together.
Beyond the game, this was a chance to share Taiwan’s vibrant culture and community with our American friends—and to show that across Florida, Taiwanese people are making their mark in classrooms, workplaces, and communities.
Different journeys, one shared pride. One unforgettable night, and a community that makes Taiwan shine wherever it goes.
