Director General Chi was honored to receive a proclamation from Palm Beach County at their County Commissioners’ Board Meeting on 10/4, declaring October 10th as the 111th National Day of the Republic of China (Taiwan).
Commissioner Mack Bernard read out the proclamation during the session, stating that the U.S. and Taiwan have maintained a close friendship, and the two nations will foster a more resilient, just and flourishing economy for the 21st century. It also declared Taiwan’s meaningful participation in numerous international organizations would benefit regional development, peace and prosperity.
On behalf of the Government and People of Taiwan, Director General Chi expressed his sincere appreciation for the continued support and friendship. He stated that Taiwan is a peace-loving country that shares with the U.S. common values such as freedom, democracy and respect for human rights.
