“What do you see?—Contemporary Art from Taiwan”
Dear friends,
Happy New Year!
We would like to remind you that the exhibition “What do you see?—Contemporary Art from Taiwan” is being held at the TECO gallery
through January 26, 2018.
The event showcases artwork from seven Taiwanese artists on the subject of reality and the ways in which people interpret reality through sight and language. The artists explore and examine reality by incorporating their experience and understanding of history and their social environment.
Total 19 pieces of artwork are featured in the exhibition, including paintings, sculptures as well as new media and installation art, which are part of the collection of Art Bank, Taiwan. This also marks the first time that works from Art Bank have been shown in New York.
The exhibition is jointly organized by the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in New York, Taiwan Academy and Art Bank, Taiwan, in hopes to create a dialogue with local artists and foster cultural exchange and collaboration between Taiwanese artists and their international peers.
