Wuxia Hits! Joseph Kuo’s Movies Go Hybrid from December 6-13

The Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in New York is pleased to announce that the ninth edition of Subway Cinema’s popular series “Old School Kung Fu Fest” will feature Taiwan’s writer, director, and producer Joseph Kuo. Nine of Kuo’s films will screen online and in theatres from December 6 through December 13, 2021.
Five titles, including 36 Deadly Styles, 18 Bronzemen, Return of the 18 Bronzemen, 7 Grandmasters, and Mystery of Chess Boxing, will screen live at the Museum of the Moving Image (MoMI) from December 10-12, while Shaolin Kung Fu, Shaolin Kids, The Old Master, and World of the Drunken Master will be available exclusively online from December 6–13. All films include new 2K digital restorations and English-language subtitles.
The series is co-presented by Subway Cinema and the MoMI with support from the Taipei Cultural Center in New York.
