The Ministry of Education has launched its "Mandarin On-the-Go in Taiwan" program in collaboration with the Ministry of Transportation and Communication’s Tourism Bureau, and the Small and Medium Enterprise Administration of the Ministry of Economic Affairs to integrate tourism and Chinese-learning resources to create a brand new study-tour model. It is aimed to invite more international visitors to come on these tours and experience traveling and learning Chinese in Taiwan. The program links culture with real life, and it brings learners and social environments, "traveling" and "learning" together. It puts participants in real environments where they can use the language they’re learning to engage socially: "learning by using Chinese in daily life". This also makes it possible for participants to gain a greater sense of understanding and connection of Taiwanese society and its people. "Learn Chinese, as you Explore Taiwan!"
