Taiwan Fellowship is established by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) to award foreign experts and scholars interested in researches related to Taiwan, cross-strait relations, mainland China, Asia-Pacific region and Sinology to conduct advanced research at universities or academic institutions in Taiwan. It is worth noting that research themes of 2023 Taiwan Fellowship would focus more on topics relevant to Taiwan’s major policies and foreign policy issues ─i.e. regional security studies, the political and economic situation after COVID-19, and gender equality.
The application process will start from May 1, 2022 to July 10, 2022, and recipients will conduct their research in Taiwan in 2023. For more information, please visit the Taiwan Fellowship’s website: https://taiwanfellowship.ncl.edu.tw
For applicants of Northern California, Nevada, and Utah, after completing online application, please mail the following application documents by July 10, 2022 to Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in San Francisco.
- The copy of application form which is sent to the applicant’s email by the system when the online application is successfully done.
- Resume (including a publication list)
- Research Proposal (three pages excluding references; academic format)
- Two letters of recommendation or one letter of recommendation and one letter of agreement from the highest administrative director of your institute.
