CELEBRATING LUNAR NEW YEAR WITH EMBASSY’S FRIENDS

The Embassy celebrated the Lunar New Year, the most important festival in Chinese-speaking communities, by sharing a lunch with traditional dishes with a group of priests and other long-time friends, on February 10 at the Chancery.
In his address, Ambassador Lee stressed how the festive atmosphere should not allow us to forget those most in need and handed out small gifts to this guests: solidarity chocolate bars in order to support a Caritas Rome project benefiting those brothers and sisters who are facing hardship due to the global health crisis. He then expressed his wish that in the Year 2021 we could all enjoy health and peace and concluded by saying, “Taiwan be with you and better together!”.
