Amb. Peter Sha-Li Lan handed over materials donated by Simply Help Foundation to Hon. Orando Brewster, Minister of National Mobilisation, Social Development, Family, Gender Affairs, Youth, Housing and Informal Human Settlement on 3rd November, 2022.
In his remarks, Amb. Lan said Simply Help Foundation has donated materials to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines over the past few years. This year the donation consisted of anti-pandemic supplies (wipes, face shields, etc.), daily-care supplies (walkers, wheel chairs), toys, folding chairs/tables, clothes, shoes and school supplies (books, white board, etc.) with the estimated value of US$63,480. It is a great pleasure for the governments of the Republic of China (Taiwan) and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to see the private sector contributing to strengthen the friendship between the two countries. He appreciated the Foundation’s continuous donation and hoped Vincentian people and children would feel the love from Taiwan at the end of the year.
Minister Brewster said in his remarks that the diplomatic ties between Taiwan and SVG had been more than 41 years. In addition to a variety of cooperation between the two governments, private donations from Taiwan also played a vital role. On behalf of the government and people of SVG, he expressed sincere appreciation to Simply Help Foundation, and pledged to continue working with Taiwan in pursuit of prosperity for both countries.
