Ambassador Peter Sha-Li LAN Presents Taiwan Bursaries to students in Leeward region of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

Ambassador Peter Sha-Li LAN of the Republic of China (Taiwan) presented the Third batch of Taiwan Bursaries 2022 to the students of Leeward region of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, together with Permanent Secretary Myccle Burke during a ceremony at the Central Leeward Secondary School on 13 December, 2022.

Ambassador Lan pointed out that ever since the launching of the Bursary Programme in 1998, more than 11,500 local SVG students from primary, secondary to Tertiary schools have already benefited.

This year there are a total of 524 beneficiaries of bursaries, among whom $320,000 EC$ will be allocated. The support given to students under this program is intend to allow many at-risk students to continue their studies on a regular basis. Our best wishes to their continued success and great future!
