Amb. Peter Sha-Li Lan handed over materials donated by Simply Help Foundation to Hon. Orando Brewster, Minister of National Mobilisation, Social Development, Family, Gender Affairs, Youth, Housing and Informal Human Settlement on 8th March, 2023.
In his remarks, Amb. Lan said Simply Help Foundation has donated materials to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines over the past few years. This year the donation consisted of working uniforms, tables, clothes, shoes, speakers and books etc., with the estimated value of US$92,670. It is a great pleasure for the governments of the Republic of China (Taiwan) and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to see the private sector contributing to strengthen the friendship between the two countries.
Minister Brewster expressed sincere appreciation to Simply Help Foundation on behalf of the government and people of SVG, and pledged to continue working with Taiwan in pursuit of prosperity for both countries. He said that in addition to a variety of cooperation between the two governments, private donations from Taiwan also played a vital role for SVG to recover from the eruption of La Soufrière and the damage of the hurricanes.
