Ambassador Fiona Fan Joined Minister Gonsalves at ON-SITE Orientation

On June 25th, Ambassador Fiona Huei-Chun Fan joined the orientation session of the Offering National Support for Internship, Training and Employment (ON-SITE) Programme with Hon. Camillo Gonsalves, Minister of Finance, Economic Planning & Information Technology, and Mr. Nigel Scott, Chairman of the Steering Committee at the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College.
Ambassador Fan stressed that young people are not just the future but also vital assets to our present, and expressed that Taiwan is proud to be standing with the government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in championing youth empowerment. Minister Gonsalves encouraged selected youth to seize the opportunity for personal growth, and extended appreciation for the support from Taiwan. Representatives from participating enterprise and youth from previous cohort also shared their successful experience.
ON-SITE Programme is a manifestation of joint efforts by the Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and the Republic of China (Taiwan) aiming at empowering local youth. By the end of 2025, the programme would have reached a total of around 550 Vincentian youth.
