Under the "Sustainable Earth Science Research Center" project granted by Ministry of Education of Taiwan, the delegation of 17 experts and professors including Prof. Ching-Hua Lo from National Taiwan University and Prof. Wen- Yen Chang who is the Executive Secretary of "An Integrated Program for Intelligent Prevention of Natural Disasters and International Cooperative Research on Earth Sciences in Southeast Asia" of Ministry of Science and Technology of Taiwan, also the professor of National Dong Hwa University, along with professors from National Taiwan University, National Taiwan Normal University, National Central University, National Dong Hwa University, National Chiao Tung University, with the support of Science and Technology Division of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Vietnam, successfully organized the " Interdisciplinary Workshop on Earth Observation and Environmental Challenges" on August 28 in collaborating with the Vietnam Academy Science and Technology’s Institute of Geological Sciences, Institute of Geophysics, Institute of Environmental Technology, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment’s Institute of Geosciences and Mineral Resources, General Department of Geology and Minerals of Vietnam, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Hanoi University of Mining and Geology, and Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment. More than 80 people participated in the workshop and 16 high-quality research reports were presented.
