Pingtung County Magistrate Pan Men-an visits Metro Vancouver to promote the county's agricultural products on December 9 and 10, 2018.
Exotic fruits from Pingtung, southern Taiwan, such as bell fruit, red dragon fruit, jujube, lemon, guava, white balsam pear, and Taiwan's indigenous superfood - red Taiwan quinoa are on display at two local supermarkets. Shoppers sample and purchase these special agricultural products rarely found in Metro Vancouver.
TECO Director General Andy Chen hopes this event will further promote Taiwan's local agricultural products into Canadian market, given the long-standing business and trade cooperation between the two countries.
Pingtung offers a variety of high-quality and safety certified agricultural products all year round. Vancouver is a potential market for Pingtung's agricultural exports. By making this visit, Magistrate Pan hopes to introduce more new products to Canadian consumers in the future.
