The Government of the Republic of China (Taiwan) is offering scholarships to eligible Saint Lucia nationals, interested in pursuing a postgraduate four-year course in medicine, at the I-Shou University in Taiwan, commencing September 2014. The application for this scholarship program will start from February 24th to March 15th 2014.
To be eligible the candidate must:
• Possess at least a bachelor’s degree or above in a related field of study
• Be a citizen of Saint Lucia
• Be no more than 40 years old
• Possess a current medical certificate that shows good physical and mental health
Interested applicants are required to register at both ICDF and the I-Shou University websites, shown below, as they are the only platforms through which applications will be considered: http://www.icdf.org.tw/TSP/welcome.aspx and http://enroll/isu.edu.tw/enroll/DP before March 15th, 2014. Then send the above two application forms, together with a copy of the highest education certificate and a transcript authenticated by the Ministry of Education, Human Resource Development and Labour or relevant authorities, two reference letters and a Police Clearance Letter to the Embassy and two passport size photos.
Applicants are also required to undergo a pre-approved test at the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan), Reduit Beach Avenue, Rodney Bay, Gros Islet as part of the application process.
