The Taiwanese Chambers of Commerce in Nigeria (TCCN) organized a delightful luncheon on June 18th to celebrate the annual Dragon Boat Festival. Many Taiwanese fellow citizens and families, together with all the staff of the Taipei Trade Office in Nigeria, attended the warm and cheerful event.
This year’s event was particularly special as we were joined by Taiwan’s national table tennis team, who came to Lagos for the 2023 WTT Tournament. Following an intense week of competition, the TCCN Luncheon provided a much-needed opportunity for our table tennis athletes to unwind and celebrate with joy and relaxation.
TCCN President Ms. Chen Shu-Fen, Overseas Corporate Commission Member Mr. Daniel Wu, and Representative Andy Liu all made remarks welcoming the Taiwanese community as well as the special guests of table tennis players. Besides singing along to happy and familiar karaoke tunes, the highlight of the luncheon were Nigerian cultural and artistic gifts as prizes in a raffle, donated by Representative Mr. Liu and his wife Yolanda Chen. The entire event was lively and lasted for three and a half hours, ensuring that both guests and hosts thoroughly enjoyed themselves!
