The Earthworks and Remediation Contract will include for supply of the Ferrous Sulphate Heptahydrate and Calcium Polysulphide ie The main contractor will be responsible for the remediation works including the supply of the required chemicals to carry out the works. However, the procurement for the supply of chemicals will be carried out by Clyde Gateway who will then novate this supply contract to the main contractor. The effect of the novation is that the contract between Clyde Gateway and the Supplier is extinguished and a new contract is created between the Main Contractor and the Supplier. Invoices will continue to be paid by CGDL for the duration of the contract following novation. The new contract will be on the same terms and conditions as the extinguished contract. Post-novation, Clyde Gateway will have no contractual relationship with the Supplier.
