On behalf of Ambassador Alexander Yui, Deputy Representative Andrea Yang and TECRO staff joined over 400 Taiwanese fans for Taiwanese Heritage Night at the Washington Wizards' Capital One Arena on March21.
The event was organized by the overseas Taiwanese diaspora group Millennial Global Youth in conjunction with the Wizards and featured pre-game warm-ups and fan tunnel activities, making the inaugural Taiwanese Heritage Night one for the books.
Basketball is a treasured mainstream sport in both Taiwan and the United States, and NBA games are among the most-watched games in both countries. We welcome further sports-themed events in the future to bring Taiwan-U.S. ties even closer.
