Its American arm, the Formosa Plastics Corporation U.S.A. which is headquartered in New Jersey, has annual revenue of more than US$5 billion and employs over 2,400 people who operate 20 production units in six business divisions in the United States, including olefins, polyolefins, vinyl, specialty polyvinyl chloride, chlor-alkali, and oil & gas.
Everlight Chemical, which was founded in 1972 in Taiwan and now has 15 subsidiaries across the world including in North Carolina in the United States, is a high-tech chemical enterprise. Everlight Chemical has a foot print in the functional dye market supplying products in the opto-electronics industry and ink for ink-jet printers; has developed light stabilizers for plastics, coatings, and cosmetics, and produces active pharmaceutical ingredients; and has developed a variety of electronic chemicals and nano-materials.
