Director General Steven Tai took the 2016 International VIP Tour of Coastal Georgia

From March 2-4, TECO DG Steven Tai joined dignitaries representing 27 countries for a VIP tour of coastal Georgia hosted by the Georgia Department of Economic Development and the Southeast GA Joint Development Authority. The tour, a three-day event that showcases a region of Georgia to the Consular Corps, focused this year on traditional tourism assets and economic development along Georgia’s coastline. DG Tai visited tourist, military, educational, business and and government sites including King’s Bay Naval Base, the Georgia Ports Authority, Savannah College of Art and Design, Gulfstream Aerospace, and the Jekyll Island Club. The tour included the communities of St. Mary’s Island, St. Simon’s Island, Jekyll Island, Ossabaw Island, Darien, Richmond Hill and Savannah.
