Director General Vincent Liu of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Atlanta and TECO officer Jerry Chang visited a Taiwanese company, Everest Textile Co., Ltd in Forest City, North Carolina on November 30th. VP Eric Wu, Production Manager Jason Tien, and all Taiwanese officers of Everest Textile welcomed DG Liu’s visit.

Everest makes smart sport fabrics. It supplies apparel companies including Nike, Columbia and Patagonia. The North Carolina factory started production in 2017. It produces polo/woven shirts and casual shorts at a capacity of 100,000 pieces per month. The company brought 610 jobs to Forest City, NC. This investment has been praised by North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper and local government officials.

Since 2019 marks the 40th anniversary of Taipei-Atlanta Sister Cityhood. TECO Atlanta held a “Taipei-Atlanta Sister City Logo” design competition and will host many events during the year-round celebration. DG Liu plans to promote Everest’s smart sport fabrics to Georgia through these activities.
