Director General Vincent Liu attended Indian Consul General Swati Vijay Kulkarni’s welcoming reception

 

Director General Vincent Liu of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Atlanta was invited to a welcoming reception for Indian Consul General Swati Vijay Kulkarni, hosted by Indian-American Dr. Charan Shikh, on December 8. Special guests included Jennifer Jordan, Georgia State Senator; Rusty Paul, Mayor of Sandy Springs; Bob Ellis, Fulton County Commissioner; Todd Levent, Forsyth County Commissioner; Takashi Shinozuka, Consul General of Japan in Atlanta; Christopher Smith, Honorary Consul of Denmark; and Kent Davies, President of Johns Creek Chamber of Commerce. TECO officer Jerry Chang also attended the reception.

India is one of the major countries for Taiwan government to develop teamwork with under the New Southbound Policy, which is the initiative of the government of Taiwan to enhance cooperation and exchanges between Taiwan and 18 countries in Southeast Asia, South Asia, and Australia. To further promote the New Southbound Policy, TECO Atlanta maintains a close relationship with the Atlanta Indian-American community, and just invited Rick Desai, President of the Georgia Indo-American Chamber of Commerce, to visit Taiwan.
