From February 8-17th, 2019, the Besharat Arts Foundation Museum & Gallery will host an exhibit, “The Monochrome Aesthetic,” that showcases Taiwan’s landscapes and aborigines. The exhibit, sponsored in part by the Besharat Foundation, the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Atlanta, and Savannah College of Art & Design, is open by appointment from 10am-5pm on those dates. An Opening Reception and Artist Talk will be held on Friday, February 8th from 6-8pm.
The show is in celebration of the 40th Anniversary of Taipei and Atlanta’s Sister Cityhood and the 40th Anniversary of the US Congress’s passage of the Taiwan Relations Act. One of the artists, Hsuan Chung, and the curator, Yeh-Ting Ma are from Taiwan. On Saturday, February 16th, the Besharat Foundation will host a free outdoor Photography Workshop and Competition from 10am-12pm.
