Acting Director General Daniel Hung, Deputy Directors Tony Tai and Ronald Hu of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Atlanta, joined the “2020 Asian American Advocacy Day” organized by Asian Americans Advancing Justice-Atlanta on February 24 at the Georgia State Capitol.
Local Taiwanese leaders also joined the event, including OCAC Senior Advisor Dr. Sue-Ling Wang, OCAC Advisor Jackie Chen, ROC Veteran Association-Atlanta president Michael Wang, GFCBW-Atlanta president Ting-lan Chiu , and Gainesville Taiwan Chamber of Commerce former president Steven Hao, current vice president Ying Wang.
Asian Americans Advancing Justice – Atlanta is the first nonprofit legal advocacy organization dedicated to protecting the civil rights of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander and Arab, Middle Eastern, Muslim, and South Asian communities in Georgia and the Southeast.
Representative Sam Park, a Korean American, presented a House Resolution bill expressing recognition of the Asian community’s contribution to the state of Georgia. He commended all Asian community leaders who participated in the event.
