Director-General Wang Meets with Tennessee Secretary of State Tre Hargett

During his visit to Tennessee on April, 10th, Director-General Elliot Wang met with Secretary of State Tre Hargett to convey Taiwan’s heartfelt concern and sympathy over the severe impact of Hurricane Helen last year. Secretary Hargett shared that while certain areas may take years to fully rebuild, the state government has been actively engaged in recovery efforts, and overall life and tourism in Tennessee have largely returned to normal.
The two also exchanged views on Taiwan–Tennessee bilateral economic ties and high-tech industry investments. Secretary Hargett recognized the strong potential for further cooperation and warmly welcomed Director-General Wang to visit Tennessee again in the future!
