Taiwan and Arkansas Renew Longstanding Educational Partnership

The Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in Houston is pleased to announce the renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Educational Cooperation between the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) and the Department of International and Cross-strait Education of Taiwan’s Ministry of Education.
The signing ceremony was held at the Arkansas State Board of Education, with ADE Secretary Jacob Oliva hosting the event. Representing Taiwan was Director General Yvonne Hsiao of TECO in Houston, accompanied by Education Division Director Suya Yang and her team.
During the ceremony, Secretary Oliva reaffirmed his commitment to this enduring partnership. He also invited Dr. Harold Jeffcoat, Superintendent of the Van Buren School District and a former delegate to Taiwan, to share his firsthand observations and insights on Taiwan’s education system.
TECO in Houston looks forward to continuing this dynamic cooperation and building new avenues for collaboration in the years to come.
