2026 Taiwan Scholarship Programs
To promote knowledge, understanding and friendship between peoples of Taiwan and St. Vincent and the Grenadines, the Government of the Republic of China (Taiwan) is offering two scholarship programmes, namely MOFA Taiwan Scholarship and TaiwanICDF Scholarship, to outstanding Vincentians to pursue studies in Taiwan.

MOFA Taiwan Scholarship
Award Period
- Non-degree Mandarin Language Enrichment Programme (LEP): 1 year maximum (not applicable for whole English-taught degree program)
Degree Programmes: - Undergraduate’s Programme: 4 years maximum
- Master’s Programme: 2 years maximum
- Doctoral Programme: 4 years maximum
Application Period
MOFA Taiwan Scholarship Programme: From now to March 13, 2026. Online application system starts from February 1, 2026. (Accounts created before Feb 1 will be deleted. https://taiwanscholarship.moe.gov.tw/Apply )
Requirements
Applicants are required to submit the following documents to the Embassy by 4:30 P.M. on March 13, 2026. (Please note that applicants need to apply for language center admission if the desired degree programme is taught in Mandarin. The list of Mandarin learning centers: https://reurl.cc/qnaGxN. Please note that every degree programme has different requirements and deadlines.)
- A print-out from MOFA Taiwan Scholarship online application platform;
- One photocopy of applicant’s passport to prove SVG nationality;
- One copy of the highest-level diploma, and a complete grade transcript (in a stamped and sealed envelope by the issuing school) must be sent directly to the Embassy. Documents issued by foreign countries must be authenticated by the overseas Embassies or missions of Taiwan;
- Supporting admission application materials (e.g. a photocopy of application form or acceptance letter for language training center; information on study in Taiwan is available at http://www.studyintaiwan.org);
- Two letters of recommendation.
- Previous Taiwan MOFA scholarship recipients are not allowed to apply the Taiwan MOFA scholarship again.
- To apply for BA program, a certificate and transcript from SVGCC level school is a must.
