SUPPLIES/SERVICE QTY U/I U/P AMOUNT 01 Safety Shoes 700 EA $__________ $__________ 02 Metatarsal Toe Guard 100 EA $__________ $__________ Safety Shoe Requirements: Safety shoes are intended to provide protection for the toes against external forces through the use of a protective toe box which is incorporated into the footwear. The primary type of hazard is for compression/crush resistance that meets or exceeds the American Society for Testing Material (ASTM) standards for reinforced toes. The Contractor shall display, sell, or issue to the DLA Distribution San Joaquin, California employees only those safety shoes that meet or exceed ASTM F2412-11 Standard Test Methods for Foot Protection and F2413-11 Standard Specification for Performance Requirements for Protective (Safety) Toe Cap Footwear. At a minimum, one shoe shall be stamped, stitched, or have a sewn-in label on the inside of the footwear indicating compliance with ASTM standards. |
